Hi everyone! My name is Melissa and I am from Bedford, Texas. Which is close to the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. I am 4 foot 9 inches tall. I weigh between 95 pounds and 100 pounds. I have shoulder length brown hair with blonde highlights. I have brown eyes and I wear glasses. I would like to get braces soon. I go to school at the University of North Texas in Denton. I have an apartment that is not far from school. It's really nice and comes fully furnished so need to buy furniture. I will be living in a 4 bedroom/4 bath this fall. I ride a bus to school that picks me up and drops me off at my apartment. Parking is really bad because of the amount of students who go to UNT. My current GPA is a 3.333 and last semester I made a 3.40 with 15 hours. This fall I'm taking 13 hours. I have a son named Christian Micheal and he was born on April 12, 2004. He is my mircale baby. He only weighed 2 lbs 5 ounces at birth. He is my pride and joy. I hope I can be a great mom like my mom is.

I am currently dating a wonderful man named Billy Currin. He is a United States Marine and is currently stationed in Japan. He is working on being a recruiter for the Marines. He has been in Japan since August of 2002. He was engaged before he left but the girl called it off. I met him online in November of 2002 and we hit it off. He asked me out on November 12, 2002. I really love him so much more than any other guy I have ever dated or had a crush on. His a really great guy and is always very sweet to me. We talk as much as we can online. I know he has work to do and is always very busy but I know he loves me and misses me. He should be coming home in September 2004. I can't wait to meet him and tell him in person how I feel about him. I can't wait to hold and kiss him. He told me after I graduate from college we can get married. I would never hurt him or make him angry with me. I try to be the best girlfriend he ever had. I treat him with respect and I dont hide things from him. I will always be honest with him and will remain faithful while his away. I love you so much Billy!!!!!!!! I look forward to being Mr. and Mrs. Billy Currin.

My brother and his girlfriend of 2 years got engaged in June on a family cruise in the Caribbean. The wedding is set for May 1, 2004 near Emory, Texas where she grew up. Its going to be outside by a lake that has a pavilion. I will be one of the bride's maids. I will wear a fuchia short dress. She is wearing an ivory sleeveless gown that is floor length and has a short train. My grandma bought them a house near us and will let them rent it. Josh my brother works at Oreck which is a vaccumm store in Arlignton. He is the manger of the store. His fiance Shelbi is a RN at Children's in Dallas. She works in the trauma unit. She will go back and get her masters next year. I love my brother and I love Shelbi. She will be a great sister-in-law. I'm so excited for them!

My major at UNT is Child Development and Family Studies. My minor is Health Promotion. I want to be a Child Life Specialist at the hospitals. A Child Life Specialist is an indvidual who works in health care, focising on the emotional and developmental needs of children and families. Using play and other forms of communication, this professional member of the healthcare team seeks to reduce the stress associated with healthcare experiences and enables children and families to cope in a positive manner. I plan on volunteering this fall semster on Saturday's at Cook Children's in Fort Worth to get experience. I want to help kids who are sick because they deserve the same love and care as healthy children. I have been in the hospital before and understand how they feel. I love children and love helping them!

I have a disability called dystonia. Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions, which force certain parts of the body into abnormal, sometimes painful, movements or postures. Dystonia can affect any part of the body including the arms and legs, trunk, neck, eyelids, face, or vocal cords. It affects my arm, neck, and vocal cords. I have had it most of my life and it is very uncomfortable. I have wonderful doctors, family, and friends. I have myoblock injections every 3 months and have a bacolfen pump implanted in my abdomen and get it refilled every 90 days. My church has been so supportive over the years. My family has been very supporitive too. I hope some day soon they find a cure for dystonia.

I love to listen to country and pop music. I enjoy reading books, going to the movies, going to concerts, shopping, and I have learned to cross stich. My favorite tv shows are 7th Heaven, I Love Lucy, Boy Meets World, Sister Sister, Smart Guy, Even Stevens, Mama's Family, Little House, and several talk shows. I love the computer and playing games. I love kiwibox and playing the games.

I have a minature schanzuer named Millie. She will be 2 this year. We got her in 2000 from a family in North Richland Hills. We had her since she was 2 weeks old. She fit in the palm of your hand. She is really sweet and friendly. She loves to play and barks a lot. She keeps me company when my parents work. She protects me and she really loves us. She misses me when I am away at school.
